Alison is a frequent conference speaker, chair and moderator. As an expert on women, leadership and the changing workplace and co-author of Why Women Mean Business, she has spoken at events in London, New York, Toronto, Paris, Brussels, Oslo and Athens, among other cities. She has addressed public conferences, and internal events at companies such as Royal Dutch Shell, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Unilever and UBS.

Her speaking events have included the International Monetary Fund’s seminar for International Women’s Day in Washington D.C., the Women’s Economic Summit in Lowell, Massachusetts, and the Hellenic Management Association’s ‘Developing Female Leaders’ conference in Athens.

She moderated a discussion on women in economic decision-making at the European Union’s 2009 conference on Gender Equality, and chaired and spoke at the Icon Events Diversity & Inclusion seminar in Barcelona in 2010. She regularly contributes to workshops organized by International Women of Excellence.

Alison has worked with The Conference Board, one of the world’s leading business membership and research organizations, as Director of the European Council for Diversity in Business, a peer-to-peer network of senior executives, since 2007. In this consulting role, she leads The Conference Board’s European meetings programme on diversity and inclusion and helps to shape its research.
